The Silwoodians, that is. The eco- lecturers in their standard checkered light blue shirts, with blue lanyards hung around the collars (and standard Favourite Phrases to use in Lectures).
I usually make my way into the lecture theatre through the back door, since the back rows are where I can type away on my laptop without distracting the people behind, and the back’s where the seats are more cushiony.
But when the lecturer is someone I know, I’d go in from the front. I did so when we had Tilly, and this morning it was Simon. Had a little chit-chat before the lecture started. He called me a traitor! For having turned my back on Silwood, and for not doing his MSc course. lol. And I think he was a tad displeased that I am now doing business. Hmm well. I’ll pay Silwood and the rabbits a visit when I can. We’ll see. Could’ve wagged his lecture (it was all familiar ecology stuff, and the same slides I’ve been seeing for the past two years) but then again, it’s Simon. There’ll be no skivving for me, not when it’s one of my people.
