The quality of the photo shops here is horrible. I think I’ll need to take my images to a professional photolab to get printed, or do it myself.
These are samples of photos printed by three different shops… using the same files. I took care to ensure that the white balance was accurate when I photographed (’scanned’) copies of the prints, so that WYSIWIG:

From the looks of it, the top one of the squirrel looks best albeit a little over exposed. But the bottom one of the landscape has nicer colours!
Some places actually fiddle with your pics before printing them out. You might have to ask them to just leave print settings at neutral or something. When I was at Costco a while ago, I saw the staff actually editing on the computers pre-printing. The intentional purpley colour cast I’d added to my pic was removed when printed.

I usually tell them not to mess with the colours. But nowadays instant printing is done straight from those machines where you slot in your memory card or bluetooth pics over and you do your printing via a touch screen.
How much does it cost to develop prints in London again? Here it’s anything from SGD 0.35 – 0.60 for a 4R print…

I use Costco. You can Google for it yourself. The only thing about Costco is that it’s one of those american membership only warehouse cash & carry’s. We tend to get Oreo’s in trade boxes and 2L’s of refreshingly delicious Tropicana orange juice with jucy bits. They also do glasses and tyres. They’re pretty broad. I really like their muffins. They’re humungous!

I like the bottom one cos it’s more saturated and warm = more colour
