I was buying a fruit juice drink from a stall in Chinatown. The man behind the counter was glistening in sweat and had the sleeves of his arms asymmetrically rolled up. The music playing from his hifi in the background was a Jacky Cheung super-oldie… I found myself humming to it, almost automatically. It wasn’t a particularly good song, but it does remind me of a specific time in my life.
James Blunt’s playing on iTunes. Ahh… the power of associative memory. And now, Powter!
